CAUSE

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is caused by the bite from an infected tick, that attaches itself to your skin and feeds on your blood for 6 to 10 hours

SYMPTOMS

Muscle pain 
Severe headache 
Sudden fever
Red rash that starts on the palm of hand and soles of feet then spreads to the rest of the body occurs 3 to 6 days after the start of the aforementioned symptoms 

TREATMENT

Get treated by a doctor if you suspect infection 

PREVENTION

When outdoors avoid tick infested areas in the spring and summer
Wear long sleeves and pants when outdoors
