MURINE TYPHUS FEVER

DESCRIPTION

Murine Typhus Fever also known as endemic typhus or flea-borne typhus, is a disease that is caused by a bacteria called Rickettsia typhi that is found in fleas.

LOCATION

Murine Typhus Fever is found in southern California, and Gulf Coast states.

CAUSE

Murine Typhus Fever is caused by bites from fleas

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms of Murine Typhus Fever include
Backache 
Dry cough
Dull red rash that begins on the middle of the back
Extremely high fever that lasts up to 2 weeks
Headache
Joint pain
Nausea
Stomach pain
Vomiting
